About Ekklesia Yahweh
We are a relatively new 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to make an impact on this world because of the conviction that our Faith must reflect the truth of Scripture tracing our history back to the source all begun by our resurrected Messiah and through the Holy Spirit. Constantinian Christians or
Covenantal Chrestians?
The Name
Historically, when the Faith went beyond the borders of Jerusalem, at Antioch the Greek term Chrestians (Greek “Chrestos”—excellent, good—Justin Martyr, First Apology, 4) came to be applied to them. The overwhelming majority of the earliest sources attest to this, beginning with Tacitus. The fact that Christian was not in the earliest Greek texts is to allow you to accurately grasp the bigger confirmation here that our earliest NT Scriptures had Hebrew sacred names and not nomina sacra substitutes. So, when you pray in the only name of Yahwshua Mashiach (Mashiach or Messiah being the original unmodified Hebrew term found with the name of Yahwshua replaced at some time in the second century by the curious Greek abbreviated nomina sacra substitutes and found in all the earliest Greek texts) feel relief that the earliest believers also did not follow the Jewish traditions to not say "the ineffable name" (the yahw- in Yahwshua) but followed the Word and preached the Good News in the name Yahweh and Yahwshua. (See our own groundbreaking research on the origin of the variations in personal names with Jo- or Yo- or Ye- (Joshua, Yeshua) and its amazing connection to the curious problem of the nomina sacra phenomenon discussed in our Beliefs here).
Persecution
But, the impact of this early, unmodified Faith was so significant we then see them being persecuted severely from outside, and practically left to die. Yet Isaiah 42 reminds the brilliant, strategic rulers: "A damaged reed He will not break off, and a dimly lit wick he will not put out” (Isa 42:3). So no matter what condition there is always hope to tend to the wounds and rise up from the ashes.
Covenantal Chrestianity—A Break from Tradition
In faithfulness to the Text over traditions (often pagan and syncretistic) we see believers as the Way (Acts 9:2), Nazarenes (Acts 24:5), and Chrestians in Greek speech (Acts 11:26), which scholars have called Judeo-Christian, not denying the clear distinction they possess from Christians today. But, unlike many forms of Messianic Judaism, rather than merely follow Jewish traditions and the NT we seek to prove the unmodified truth found in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures, precisely understand the Messiah's New Covenant spiritually, and not merely uphold as our doctrine the tradition of men (Matt 15:6, Isa 29:13). Most importantly, we study and explain Scripture inductively allowing its words to convict us to want to change, perfecting holiness with love and compassion.
Clench This Moment
For centuries a powerful, worldly force has tried to corrupt the government of Elohim in the sacred Scriptures placing confusion on what is the Father’s nature (see our Beliefs on this), but the Spirit sent by our King, His Messiah, teaches all truth. Be not troubled.
Today, the time for doubt is over; the period of uncertainty must be buried forever; your King comes and Ekklesia Yahweh would like to be a part of your spiritual transformation if you permit us to help. Let us get our hearts cleansed and our consciences pure. Are you ready to meet the King? Our goal is for our Faith to exactly align with the consistent clear message of Scripture and we will clench this moment.
Remember He guides through His Comforter so have faith, believe, and always follow Him.
